Vita is a San Diego local who fine tuned her technical and creative skills in an AVEDA salon before joining the Salon Bordeaux team in 2009. She has received extensive REDKEN and PUREOLOGY training and continues to keep up with current techniques and trends. She specializes in haircuts and color, recently certified by Redken's Patrick Fitzwater in Ombre & Balayage techniques. "I love when people ask me which one I like doing most, haircuts or hair color. I tell them that is like asking a mother which child they like best - I love them both!"
STYLING TIP: "The Perfect Swoop"
To get the perfect swoopy fringe, blow-dry the hair in the opposite direction. Use a flat brush to dry the roots area first. After the roots are dry (and the ends mostly dry) bring them over to the direction you want the fringe to lay. Using a round brush, hold the brush vertically and roll the ends back away from your face until they are completely dry. Set look with your favorite hairspray. If this sounds confusing come in to see me and I will teach you how!
FAVORITE PRODUCT: REDKEN Wool Shake Gel Texturizer
I love the way this product adds volume and texture to second day curls. It is even great on straight hair to give it that "beach wave" look without the sand or sunburn. It smells amazing too!
